Heritage in a Name
The name Chiarina is a cherished family name passed down through the maternal line, carrying generations of Italian heritage and alpine tradition. Rina’s father and Chiara’s grandfather grew up in the province of Bergamo, Italy, surrounded by the majestic peaks of the Alps.
This deep-rooted connection to the Italian mountains inspired the creation of Chalet Chiarina, a luxury alpine retreat in Cervinia that celebrates family heritage, timeless Italian elegance, and the enduring beauty of the Italian Alps.
A Resort at an Inflexion Point

The Matterhorn Alpine Crossing, launched in 2023, connects Cervinia and Zermatt, offering skiers and visitors access to an extraordinary cross-border alpine experience. Recent lift upgrades in the Valtournenche ski area and the ambitious €200 million Cervino The One project, planned for 2029, reflect Cervinia’s continued investment in its ski infrastructure, with redesigned lift stations set to enhance capacity and improve mountain access. The proposed Cervinia–Monte Rosa connection, currently under review, could further expand the region’s interconnected ski terrain to 532km.
